ESOL Students
How to advocate for English language classes:
- Ask your employer if they have a program.
- If you're already an ESOL student, inform your co-workers and others about the program.
- Participate in advocacy events in support for more funding for ESOL.
- Tell your story! Talk to legislators, media, businesses, and others about the valeu of ESOL
- Be a leader! Participate in the planning and evaluation of your program.
- Work with your union to make sure the contract with the employer includes support for ESOL classes.
